For over 115 years, Ray White has been a name synonymous with many things, but property in particular. The ongoing exchange of property in Australia is almost like a national sport. We buy and sell property on average every 4 years. The most recent data I saw said there was over 8 million residential properties in Australia. Governments today rely on the sale of property as a significant revenue stream for their coffers with stamp duty, land tax, rates and all manner of charges levied both during and after the transaction and ongoing for the life of ownership.
Often we already told by the media that first home buyers are being pushed out of the market and that affordability is at its lowest ebb. Yet we continue almost unabated to sub divide land in order to build more homes. . . Someone must be buying them!
Sonya Treloar and her team are a success story in property. Now entering her 7th season with Ray White, Sonya has seen amazing results for local families simply by virtue of her hard work, diligent never say no attitude, and a determination to get every family the absolute best price she can for them.
So it is no surprise to most that Sonya and her husband Wayne, have recently purchased the Ray White Office at Bridgeman Downs. ‘It was the inevitable next step for Wayne and I and our boys, Brock and Levi to buy our own office’ said Sonya after the announcement.
‘We have all worked in the business in varying capacities over the last 6 years, and the fact that we all love property and we all love the ‘family’ concept of our family helping your family, it was an easy decision’ said Sonya proudly.
The Sonya Treloar Team has been well awarded over recent times with Sonya and the team achieving for Sonya number two in Queensland for the last year and number four internationally. Sonya’s team consists of Lauren her Sales Associate, Wendy her administrator and our recently appointed Receptionist, Brittany. Wayne looks after all the financial, business management and brand marketing and Brock and Levi work on weekends with the Open Home Team.
‘I love when our family is working together to help make a difference to another family. The chapters of lives change and to be a big part of that is a real privilege. With our ownership of the Ray White office at Bridgeman Downs, the opportunities are endless. We have big plans and are keen to introduce a number of new initiatives to the business which we think our clients will like. It should make buying and selling a home much more enjoyable’ said Sonya
Just because real estate has been done the same way for the last 115 years, doesn’t mean we can’t innovate and take it to another level. The entire experience needs to be a fantastic one.
That also goes for rental properties as well. ‘We hear horror stories all the time about the difficulties that both owners and tenants have had to endure at the hands of poor property managers’ said Wayne ‘Our goal will be to ensure that we look after the owners property, as their asset and create a better experience for them. It is important for them to know that the property is in good hands. Naturally, for our tenants it is their home. They may not own the property but it is still their family home and we will ensure those details are forefront in our property managers minds’ Wayne continued.
The Ray White brand has many initiatives of their own which we plan to incorporate into our business in the coming months. ‘No reason to do the same thing over and over again, we are more about getting a better result than the same result’ Sonya said confidently.

The office is located in the Metro on Beckett centre on the corner of Canopus Street and Beckett Road in Bridgeman Downs.
